Brief History of the Southwest Airlines - Charter Flight Group

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines kicked off its summer fare sale. One-way fares starting as low as $29 and round trips for just $58 Southwest Airlines has made it possible to continue traveling and having fun through 2019. There are close to 2400 routes to choose from!

Southwest puts tickets on sale twice yearly.  The promotion is designed to fill seats during the slow travel period after summer vacation season and before the busy year-end holiday and school break travel rush.  Southwest’s other sale comes in early October.

Sale fares are valid for travel on Monday through Thursday and Saturday starting from August 20 through December 18, 2019. Travel is blacked out August 30, September 2, and November 22 through December 2, 2019. Departures to Las Vegas and select Florida airports are available Sunday through Wednesday and travel from Nevada and Florida is valid Tuesday through Friday.

Sale fares include a carry-on bag, a personal item, and two free checked bags up to 50lbs/23kg each. Southwest has an open seating policy, which means there are no assigned seats and you’ll get to choose your seat during boarding. The order of boarding is determined by the time of check-in, so check-in exactly 24 hours before departure or pay for priority boarding for a better choice of seat.

Book by 6/6 11:59 p.m. Pacific Daylight Time. Nonrefundable. Seats, travel days, and markets limited. Blackout dates apply. Fares valid on nonstop service where indicated; if not indicated, fares are valid on single connecting service. Continental U.S. travel valid August 20 through December 18, 2019. Interisland Hawaii travel valid September 3 through November 2, 2019. Travel to/from San Juan, Puerto Rico valid September 4 through December 5, 2019.  International travel valid August 20 through December 11, 2019. Points bookings do not include government fees from $5.60 per one-way flight.
